About
Gabriela Myers-Lipton (b. 2001 San Jose, CA) is a Jewish, Latinx, lesbian artist based in San Francisco’s Mission District. Her work, crafted with acrylic paint, rhinestones, glitter, and glue, delves into humanity’s reactions to deep existential questions—questions she believes are best left unanswered.
Amidst the passing of relatives, I Found solace in my own reflections on our place within the universe. My diverse religious upbringing—a secret baptism From my German-immigrant grandmother, Hindu Temple every Sunday with my mother, and Jewish holidays celebrated with my father allows a unique prespective into how our society approaches death. My work is a reflection of the unity I find in our shared human journey, and my attempt to rehabilitate the magic of daily life.
